Is your password list file damaged?

You may not be able to save a password setting if your password list file is damaged. If it detects such damage, Windows 95/98 prompts you to delete the damaged file. However, Windows 95/98 does not detect some types of damage.

To create a new password list file

  1. In the Windows folder, locate and then delete or rename your password list file. The file is named Username.pwl, where Username is the name you use to log on.
  2. After you delete or rename the file, restart Windows.
