Is your password list file damaged?
You may not be able to save a password setting if your password list file
is damaged. If it detects such damage, Windows 95/98 prompts you to delete
the damaged file. However, Windows 95/98 does not detect some types of damage.
To create a new password list file
-
In the Windows folder, locate and then delete or rename your password list
file. The file is named Username.pwl, where Username is the name you use
to log on.
-
After you delete or rename the file, restart Windows.
