Getting FTP Help

At the ftp> prompt, type help and press enter. A list of commands will appear. Then you can get help for each command: help command

For example:


By typing help mkdir at the ftp> prompt, the description of the mkdir command is displayed.


For another example, we can find out what the pwd command is for and then use it to find the current remote directory.
